President of the Financial Auditors Authority

Law No. (23) of 2015 established the Financial Auditors Authority to emphasize the importance of the role of prior financial control in the State of Kuwait, in support of the legislator of the government's direction to ensure transparency, integrity and clarity in public financial performance and to report credibility and confidence in financial procedures

About the Authority

• The Financial Auditors Authority is an independent body that reports to the Minister of Finance, established under Law No. (23) of 2015. • All ministries, government departments, and attached and independent budget entities are subject to the control of the Authority. • The Authority is headed by a minister and includes a deputy to the president and three heads of sectors who head the following sectors of the Authority: 1. Financial Control Sector for Ministries and Government Departments. 2. Financial Control Sector for Attached Entities and Independent Institutions. 3. Financial and Administrative Affairs Sector. • Financial Auditors exercise their powers in accordance with the Law of the Authority and its Executive Regulations issued by Decree No. (333) of 2015.

To achieve the objectives of the legislator to achieve effective prior control over the financial performance of the state through positive and constructive cooperation with all relevant parties within the framework of Law No. 23 of 2015 and its Executive Regulations

Mission

The application of prior financial control develops the quality of the use of financial resources in accordance with Law No. 23 of 2015, enhances the culture of commitment to legislation, and supports ways to preserve the financial resources of the state, without hindering the achievement of goals
